Deactivate first shift

Any line that is available for production may be deactivated and removed from production until such time as you choose to reactivate the line.  Enter the number of lines that you desire to deactivate in the appropriate area on the decision form under Capacity Adjustment–Deactivate.  Deactivated lines may not be scheduled for production until they have been reactivated (see Capacity Adjustment--Reactivate lines).

Limits:  0 to the number of lines available for production

Note:  Lines scheduled + lines idled + lines deactivated must be equal to the number of lines available.

Also Note: Deactivations are likely to significantly affect employee moral resulting in lower productivity.
