Deactivate second shift

Production lines available for second-shift production may be deactivated by entering the number of lines you desire to deactivate under the Capacity Adjustment–Deactivate column for the 2nd Shift area on the decision form.  Second-shift lines must be deactivated if the corresponding lines on the first shift are deactivated.

Limits:  0 to number of second-shift lines available

Note:  Lines scheduled + lines idled + lines deactivated must be equal to the number of lines available.

Also Note: Second shift deactivations are likely to significantly affect employee moral resulting in lower productivity unless the deactivated lines are replaced with first shift lines the same quarter.
